this will be the blog i wished i had when i was starting out.
i used zola to generate this blog.
procedure:
$ snap install --edge zola
$ zola init blog
.. edit _posts/ ..
$ zola serve
markdown syntax is found here.
that’s all there is to it. I don’t have a comment system or require anything more complex than straight text and images.
my primary terminal / workstation is a lenovo thinkpad l380 running ubuntu 20.04. i bought it half price on sale, and have since replaced the stock keyboard with one that has a backlight.
i also own two raspberry pis, one of which is always on and tweeting when my plant needs water (atTiny85, sparkfun soil moisture sensor), while the other is used intermittently.
i love trying out new switches, and i rotate them depending on the task:
i highly recommend dell's ultrasharp 27 4k usb-c monitor. i have one and the screen real estate is excellent.
